Read outload, and make sure you show them the words, follow the words with your finger so they will be looking.

Read a book every night with bub on your lap and book open in front of you. They love big bright colours. Something short and sweet.

first how old is he? and if he a baby then just wait…
if not then buy him a picture book and you make up words and say what is happening in the story and then continue on…
next get a alphabetical book from A-Z and then read the words to him and then he might understand later on. but it takes time. do not pressure him…

    How old is your child?

Some parts of the brain arn’t fully developed until the child grows older. Also children learn things best at different times when they are growing. A very young child, less than 18 months, should be exposed to as many different things, words, sounds feelings and be able to touch and play with different toys to keep as many neuron connections as possible.

picture books. Plain and simple. babies learn by pictures with words. frequently read the same book for the child to memorize. before teaching reading, must know their letter sounds and recognize the letters. also should know how to read the letter sounds together like "Th" and "sh" to name a couple. then the little tyke is ready for beginner reading.

This depends on your child age. You can’t teach your child to read to early he/she has to go through a learning process first.

Start of by buying books that are colourful and have pictures on them. Talk to your child about whats in the book. Point to the pictures not the words, tell him what the pictures are. Then as he/she gets a older you can buy books that have flaps on them and sounds etc that can be related to the pictures. Do this first and then as your child gets older he/she will be able to identify words to match the pictures.
