Is your Baby can read a good program or a scam?
Is your Baby can read a good program or a scam? Can infants and toddlers really read and is giving your credit card info to them safe?Do any parents think this is a bad way of teaching a child to read?
I used it with my son and it worked.
I don’t think it is a scam…people just don’t understand how capable infants are when it comes to learning.
Reading to your child can help but it doesn’t teach them how to read.
You don’t even need one of these programs.I’ve heard of people who have made their own programs (which is what the creator of the program did originally)
I was lucky enough to get it as a baby shower gift and it did help my son learn how to read quicker than other little ones his age.

I think good old fashioned reading to your child works just as well as any expensive program…and it’s much more fun too.
You shouldn’t push children to start to learn to read too early anyway, there is plenty of time for that.

I took a psychology course in college and a fairly large portion of a week’s lecture was about those types of programs. Good luck with whatever decision you make, but from what I learned in that class, all of those programs are a huge scam.

Professor was a father of 4, grandfather of 2, and has a doctorate in psychology. I trust his word ;]
I can’t say about the program, as I don’t know, but using caution whenever making purchases online is wise. I would use paypal if you can or even get one of those disposable Visa cards.
I can tell you that it’s possible for toddlers to read. My mom and sister taught me to read when I was 3, by the time I went into preschool at 4 I was reading small chapter books and could print and write some cursive. It really did give me a head start, and helped me later on because my reading and vocabulary were always ahead of everyone else’s.
So I had never heard of it, then wham! lol last night the infomercial was on the TV guide channel, it looks like a good program, fun and not pushy. I don’t see how it could hurt, look at the junk kids watch on tv, and they’re supposed to learn from that. Plus it only cost’s $14.99 and shipping is free. It has a money back garantee, and with it being so widely broadcast and available, I wouldn’t think you would have a security issue. You could always still use a disposable Visa if your worried about it. It looks like a good investment, now I want it too.

i also was wondering about this thinking if i should get it. but like you said it’s way out of my price range… so…. i’m going to make my own flashcards with the word and the picture of whatever it is from a magazine or something. i don’t see why we should pay so much for flashcards? info about this program was on the dr’s today and i think it may be legit, the creator of the program said the way they learn is because you first teach them to remember the a work like clap and then after theyve memorized that word you then begin teaching them more words that end with AP, like tap, cap, and so on… so they begin knowing the sounds of AP. well i hope this helps you so maybe you can make your own flash cards, too!
